Explains important terms.

Field (of asset)

All data are stored in assets in the form of fields. Fields are defined by their identifiers (e.g. name, title) with human-readable titles, and with data type (e.g. Text or Date). The set of fields of specific asset is determined by the type or types of the asset.

Insite editing

In editing mode called insite editing, user works directly in web page presentation. All updates are shown immediately and the editor has a quick reference of which parts of the page he can modify.

Module

Module is special asset designed to be inserted into article body. Modul may have parameters (e.g. ID of a video). Presentation of a module is defined at one place, it is thus easy to manage appearance of many modules of the same type centrally.

Content fragment

Content fragment is HTML code fragment, which is on user's command inserted to article body. Fragments may contains editable parts. Contrary to modules, presentation of fragments cannot be managed from one place (beyond presentation attributes which may be managed by CSS rules).

Full administration

Full administration editing mode allows comprehensive management of web presentation and usage of all admin tools. This mode is intended for experienced users and web presentation admins.

Asset

Content and appearance of web presentaion is created in structured form using a system of assets. Asset is a unit of information, just like a file on a file system. The collection of all assets eventually define the appearance and behavior of the web site. All assets in this whole serves certain purpose. Every asset has assigned one or more asset types, which define the set of fields of the asset.

Projekt

Projekty jsou jednou z úrovní izolace změn. Jejich účel je možnost pracovat po určitou dobu na nezávislé kopii obsahu a po dokončení složitější změny tuto změnu promítnout do hlavní kopie obsahu. Typickým využitím projektu je práce na středně velké nebo rozsáhlé změně, která je vytvářena po určitou dobu, jedním nebo více autory.

Publikace

Proces uveřejnění změn obsahu do veřejné internetové sítě. Publikace může být nastavena jako automatická, nebo ji lze ovládat ručně.

Sezení

Veškeré úpravy obsahu jsou prováděny v rámci tzv. sezení. Sezení slouží k dočasné izolaci změn provedených jedním uživatelem. Návštěvníci webu ani ostatní uživatelé administračního rozhraní provedené změny neuvidí, dokud nebude sezení uloženo. Zároveň je položka blokována pro editaci ostatními editory.

Typ položky

Položky jsou klasifikovány do typů. Typ položky určuje, k jakému účelu položka slouží (například typ Sekce, Článek, Šablona, Obrázek). Typ položky zároveň určuje množinu jejích atributů.

Uživatelské role

Systém uživatelský rolí umožňuje definovat oprávnění a rozsah činností jednotlivých skupin editorů. Existuje sada typických uživatelských rolí, ale mohou být vytvořeny i role na míru podle požadavků prezentace. Uživatelské role mohou být uspořádány do hierarchické struktury.
